My name is Mahala McClure, owner of Sweet Rose Doula Services, Cape Girardeau, MO. I am a certified birth Doula and ICEA Certified Childbirth Educator. After navigating two high risk pregnancies and having two radically different birth experiences, my passion has become helping women like you have better births. I know what its like to desperately want an unmedicated birth but to still want the security of birthing in a hospital. I provide education & support to navigate the medical world while still entrusting your body to do what it was designed to do… bring life into this world.

1. Get educated- Natural Childbirth Education Class
Get educated, empowered, and confident about your upcoming delivery. My courses are designed especially for those desiring an unmedicated birth in the hospital setting, including my VBAC momma’s. You will learn about natural labor & delivery, commonly used medical interventions & alternatives, and how to cope with labor. Your partner is highly encouraged to participate to learn how to better support you during labor.
2. Get supported- Birth Doula Services
Birth doulas are trained in supporting women during labor and delivery. You will have access to 24/7 labor support, natural pain relieving techniques, and professional guidance to help you make informed choices. You don’t know the twists & turns your labor may take, or even which provider will be on call for your birth. With a doula you WILL know you’ll be supported every step of the way.
